My daughter came home crying from camp program

My 8 years old daughter (the one who said what kind of ship is leadership?) went to this camp this summer called “Kids leaders camp” lead by Co-Active leadership program graduates.
It’s not official CTI program or anything but it’s been held for more than 10 years. I just trusted it’s gonna be great and applied my daughter.

It’s 3 nights program, they stay in the temple and mountain.
20 children from age 6-18 can attend. I don’t know exactly what they do, but they have brief schedule and they let things decided by children.

My daughter came quietly and she said it was “fun”

without smile and didn’t explain anything else.

A while later, I asked her again, and she started to cry which surprised me.
I asked her why and she said

“I want to go back!! “

WOW….

what a surprise.

How many times do we cry because you had wonderful experience?

Later I asked, “so what did you learn about leader”?

She goes,
“I am not sure but I felt that leaders are the ones who can ask for help, and work with people. Leaders are not the one that direct people.”

WOW again.

They didn’t lecture her.
She felt it by watching adults who supported them.

No matter what we do, where we are, we can inspire/influence people around us as a leader.
